Civil and Structural engineering design for a new 24 bed community hospital. The new hospital is designed to provide urgent care, physiotherapy and paediatric services, together with specialist outpatient departments and dental treatment studios.
A new build development, on a brownfield site, within Hereford Enterprise Zone, to provide three new blocks of R&D units, arranged in a courtyard configuration.
The development comprised new-build single and two storey buildings designed to provide technology, research and development or production space at ground floor level and associated office or lightweight production space at first floor level.
We completed the civil and structural engineering design for the steel-framed buildings, plus associated external works, car parking, access and storm and foul drainage.
As part of the design process, we agreed the fundamental design approach at the outset and, throughout the contract, attended regular meetings with the design team and the BREEAM assessor – ultimately achieving the target ‘excellent’ BREEAM rating for the project.
