New build three storey building to provide retail and office accommodation in Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield.
The building responds to the mass and scale of the adjoining commercial offices, whilst creating a more sympathetic transition between them and the smaller scale listed Victorian Cottages.
The project is currently at design stage and we have been appointed to provide full civil and structural engineering design services from RIBA stage 2 to 6.
The structural design solution is a lightweight steel frame with composite metal deck upper floors and a complex mansard roof to match the vernacular.
We have designed and commissioned a site investigation to determine the most appropriate remediation strategy and foundation solution on the brownfield site.
