Alex is a Chartered Civil Engineer with experience in designing roads and real estate projects from conceptual to construction phases. He possesses management and design experience for S102, S104, S106, S185, S38, and S278 schemes. Over the years he has gained a strong understanding of the critical relationships between transportation, land use planning, urban design and delivery, as a result of hands-on work on a number of complex urban development projects, within the UK and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
He believes in effective communication from early stages of the scheme as a key driver to successful projects, and is proactive in early engagement with the integrated design team and the client.
Alex understands the often conflicting requirements between Value Engineering, Landscape Architect needs for aesthetic appeal, and SuDS-based drainage statutory compliance. Over the years he has proven useful in being able to draw the thin line that identifies common ground to satisfy all.
Alex enjoys socialising with colleagues after work and doing pencil art, which he refers to as ‘art is a form of creation’.
